What time do gates open?

Gates open at 4pm.

What time is last entry?

Last entry to the festival site is 8.05pm. Last entry to the German Bier Festival is 10pm.

What time is the display?

The display will begin promptly at 8pm. Gates are typically busy between 7pm and 8pm so please arrive early to allow plenty of time to get into the festival site.

What is a German Bier Festival?

The German Bier Festival is a lively celebration of Bavarian culture, bringing together authentic German biers, traditional food, live music and plenty of entertainment. Held in the Palace’s Great Hall, it is the largest event of its kind in London. Expect steins of German bier, sizzling bratwursts, oompah bands and a headline tribute show, all in a festive Oktoberfest-style atmosphere. Lederhosen and other Bavarian fancy dress are encouraged!

How do I access the German Bier Festival?

Access to the German Bier Festival is via the Palm Court entrance to the Palace. There will be wayfinding signage and Visitor Service staff on site to help you if you get lost.

What time will the German Bier Festival end?

The event will end at 11pm.

Is there an age restriction at the German Bier Festival?

Yes, the German Bier Festival is strictly 18+. Please note that a challenge 25 policy will be in place at all bars.

The Park entrances are busiest during the hour before the Fireworks & Drone Display, so we strongly recommend arriving early to give yourself plenty of time to enter the Festival site and find a great viewing spot.

After the display, exits and local transport services can be very busy. To avoid the rush, why not stay a little longer and enjoy everything else the Festival has to offer?

Please note that the Fireworks & Drone Festival takes place on the grounds of Alexandra Palace and this will require navigating hills and steep terrain. Furthermore, the weather can cause certain areas to become more challenging to navigate due to wet and slippery surfaces. The event has a festival feel, particularly on the Saturday, so consider this as you plan your visit. Please take care and be mindful of this when navigating the park.
